After five to seven years as a Community member, a Daughter has the privilege of pronouncing her
vows for the first time.
The Daughters of Charity take four vows: Poverty, Chastity, Obedience and Service of
the Poor. These are renewed annually, as the Daughters live out their lives as servants of the poor.
The Daughters of Charity, called by Christ and sharing his spirit, pray, work and live together in Community,
in order to bear witness to Christ, and to strengthen one another for their mission of service of the poor.
