Our Calling

Called by God, the Daughters of Charity are committed to serving the poor in a spirit of humility, simplicity and charity. The support they receive from their Sisters, through living in Community, enhances this service.

Prayer and sharing of a common life are vital to their ministry. Inspired by the teachings of their founders, St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac, the Sisters recognize the strength they receive from living with those who share their ideals and love of the poor.

Their service covers all aspects of poverty in health, education and social ministry.
